Culinary Director Navin Prasad has teamed up with Jitin Joshi to create a four hand dinner menu that will be available exclusively on Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th of December at Ritu.
Born and raised in India in a vegetarian household, Jitin always aspired to be a doctor; but destiny had other plans and he started studying plant sciences in an agriculture college however, eventually graduated with a hospitality diploma. But once in hospitality, it was clear in his mind that he wanted to cook and become a chef. He has lived and worked in India, UK & UAE plus various smaller stints in Europe Far East and US as well.
In 1997 he was amongst a handful of candidates across India to be a part of the Oberoi School and graduated from the Kitchen Management programme bagging the Ishran Devi Gold medal.
From there, Jutin had a full and eclective career that eventually lead him to lead the Culinary team for the first Taj hotel in Dubai in 2015, where he set up the entire FnB offering. Bombay Brasserie won an award for the Best Indian restaurant, Eloquent Elephant won the Best Pub Food Award, Time Out for 2 years in a row, Tree House won Best Nightlife award.
Jitin was also recognised by the Hotelier Middle East as Highly Commended Executive Chef in 2016
In 2018 Jitin joined hands with the JKS group, as the Executive chef of Gymkhana restaurant and facilitated the brand expansion globally.
Navin and Jitin met when they were working along side each other at Benares in Mayfair and have had a strong friendship ever since.
This month they have joined forces again to create a showstopping menu for Ritu Seasons of India.
